Bio

I'm a harpist in the Episcopal Church. I research, arrange and play sacred music from the Roman Catholic Liber Usualis and also compose my own works for the prelude, Communion and Offertory. I don't play popular music or secular Irish wire harp music. I'm also a licensed lay preacher and Morning prayer leader in the Episcopal Church and officiate at least four service per year at my church, St. Thomas & Grace Brandon.

George and I live with our three adopted rescue cats Jasmine, Daisy and Benjamin. They are ages 16, 15 and 10.

I've taken care of cats with diabetes and kidney failure. At least half of my website is devoted to info and links on adoption and special needs kitties.

On March 25, 2014 I released my first album after four years of studio recording work: Vox Celeste, an instrumental album of sacred melodies played on Irish harp over a background of lushly layered synthesizer, digitally sampled organ pipes and shimmering strings, with birdsong, water ripples and chimes woven throughout on some tracks.

I began playing the Irish wire-strung harp in 2007. I played my Triplett Luna on Vox Celeste and in February 2016 my new cross-strung wire harp was completed by Stoney End Harps. At present, Stoney End Harps is building a nylon cross-strung floor harp for me, which will be ready in a few months..

My husband George Matthew Jr. is Carillonneur of Middlebury College and Norwich University.
